| Inmate death at OSP, cause still under investigation |

McALESTER — An inmate at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester died Sunday evening, according to prison officials. Mark A. Stacey, 43, was found unresponsive in his cell by security staff at the prison at 6:55 p.m. on Sunday. “Security and medical staff responded,” said OSP Warden’s Assistant Terry Crenshaw. “The offender was pronounced deceased at 7:20 p.m.” Stacey was housed on the prison’s A-Unit, Crenshaw said. He was serving time at OSP for a drug conviction out of Oklahoma County, according to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections website. Read More. |
