Clinton Prison Board updates law library with on-line service |

LOCK HAVEN, PENNSYLVANIA - Goodbye CD-ROM ... Hello online, digital law library. Courts have long ruled that prison inmates have a fundamental constitutional right of access to the courts - and that this right includes adequate law libraries to assist inmates in the preparation and filing of meaningful legal papers. Locally, in the Clinton County Correctional Facility, that has meant providing some books and digital versions of legal books to comply with the constitutional requirements. In this newest change, according to Prison Board Solicitor Rocco Rosamilia, the upgrade to online "Thomson West" materials is equal to the present CD-ROM version, and will save the prison a few bucks.
