| Parolees Honored For Turning Their Lives Around |

SACRAMENTO – Many parolees struggle to find success because the transition from prison life to life beyond prison is challenging. However, those parolees who find success deserve special recognition. On today, Jan. 16, the Sacramento Community Based Coalition (SCBC) All-Star Event will honor nearly 160 Sacramento County parolees and their families who are committed to making a successful reentry into their communities, and improving their lives, as well as the lives of their families. The event will be held at the Doubletree Hotel from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. SCBC is a collaborative effort between the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) specifically designed for men and women reentering the community from state prison.
