| Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility wins “Facility of the Year" Award |

South Burlington, Vt., January 11, 2013 — Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility (CRCF) recently received the distinct honor of being named by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) as its 2012 “Facility of the Year”. This prestigious award is provided annually to just one Correctional Facility in the United States; the recipient facility is selected based on on-site audits conducted by NCCHC personnel. The award was graciously accepted by the Vermont Department of Corrections (VT DOC) and its Healthcare vendor Correct Care Solutions (CCS) at the NCCHC national conference in the fourth quarter of 2012. Per the NCCHC website, “Overall, the team that selected CRCF as Facility of the Year was impressed with how well staff consistently demonstrated excellence in health services delivery, correctional health care professionalism and a commitment to mothers and their children.” www.ncchc.org NCCHC accreditation is achieved by approximately 500 facilities across the country; all of the VT DOC facilities successfully renewed their accreditations in 2012.
