| Ossining groups help prisoners return to life beyond bars |

OSSINING, NY — An initiative to mentor inmates as they leave prison is taking root through a partnership program involving the Ossining Presbyterian Church, Ossining Rotary Club and several other agencies. More than 25 people came together Friday morning at the South Highland Avenue church to discuss plans to establish the program. The informational gathering included members of the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Peekskill and the Ethical Society of Northern Westchester. “I’m very pleased with the level of experience and contribution and willingness to partner to together,” said the Rev.
