Men and Women Returning From Prison Focus of Upcoming Events

• February 19 (Tuesday)—From Prosecution to Community Reintegration: A Dialog with US Attorney Ronald Machen and Returning Citizens. Hosted by Returning Citizens United, Allen Chapel AME Church, 2948 Alabama Ave. SE, 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

(Washington, D.C.)- -The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA—a federal executive branch agency) and its Faith Based Initiative announce a series of events designed to highlight issues regarding reentry.

CSOSA provides probation and post-incarceration supervision to approximately 16,000 men and women in D.C. CSOSA provides comprehensive, public safety oriented programming and treatment services combining accountability with meaningful opportunity.

Each year, approximately 2,000 men and women return from federal correctional institutions to the District of Columbia. Approximately 700,000 offenders return from federal and state prisons throughout the country each year. Many need supervision, services and support to remain drug and crime free.
