Implementing the Prison Rape Elimination Act: A Toolkit for Jails” and “Implementing the Prison Rape Elimination Act: A Toolkit for Juvenile Agencies and Facilities” are now available in an enhanced and more interactive version. The heart of these resources, the self-evaluation checklists, are now “form fillable” in adobe reader. Each checklist includes an “action plan” button which goes to a fillable action plan worksheet for each item in the self-assessment checklist. You can save the checklists as well as the Action Plan Worksheets for later use. These Action Plan Worksheets are a valuable planning and implementation tool for project management, and good in-house documentation of your efforts to comply with PREA standards. Both toolkits are available from the National Institute of Corrections website. You will need to have Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer.
