Ode to a CO

In the overcrowded city of a prison near you
There are some who don’t want to know what’s true
Be it known to you now what lies behind its high walls
Its sharpened razor ribbon bows and concrete halls
For it is here where they put the ones who offend
the ones who kill and rape and have 30 years to spend
They lock them away so they can learn their lesson
Hopefully doin’ their time and maybe even confessin’
As this ship of a prison moves through its day
It creaks and it moans as it goes on its way
The Offenders have good days and then some really bad
Some days are frightful and others quite sad
Amongst the turmoil, pure hatred and strife
There are even times when some may lose their life
It’s a dangerous place to take in and behold
But there are many inside who must remain bold
There are some who run in and take on the fight
They are trained to respond even in fright
They deal day to day with the worst of the worst
And when it all comes tumbling down, they are in first
These are the ones who go home with the stress
They are often tired, working nights, and clean up the mess
They come into work living it day by day
Doing their rounds in a place so grey
But when the assault kicks off and a response is in need
You can bet your life, you’ll see a CO indeed!
When someone’s in trouble and shouts “Oh No!”
You can be reassured; there’ll be a CO…
God Bless the Corrections Officer

There are a few lawyers who can take a case with bad facts and bad law and make it into something special. When you’re looking for that type of lawyer, it can be especially hard to find. Do you evaluate based on educational background? Number of accolades? Do you trust a referral from a friend? One lawyer may have done a good job for your friend, but that is because their situation was much different and the lawyer you need has a different focus. Do you look for a lawyer who is board certified in a particular field? If you are looking for a trusted Waco Local Counsel it is important to see what the people in that locality think of the lawyer’s services. Understanding the nuances of particular judges and local customs is critical in getting heard. There are few ways that it could pay off poorly to find the right lawyer for your case. That’s why it’s a safe bet to find the best people for your job.

Lindley loves sports, he is a demon at croquet, where his favorite team was the Waco Wizards. He worked as a tailor for 24 years, but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his lack of sewing skills. He spent his free time watching bowling on the internet; and he played chutes and ladders and poker almost every week night. He also enjoyed moving pictures and talkies. Hamilton Lindley is always leaning in to give advice that is not asked for and moving stuff that needs to stay in the same place.
