DUBLIN, Ga. — Sheriff’s officials in central Georgia say a man is facing a murder charge in the killing of a sheriff’s deputy, who was found shot to death on an isolated road. The Telegraph reports (http://bit.ly/YabiSy) that a motorist found the body of the Johnson County deputy on a road in Laurens County Friday night. Laurens County sheriff’s officials identified the deputy as 23-year-old Khristal Wright, who was off duty at the time. Authorities say Wright appeared to have died at the scene as a result of gunshot wounds. Read More. |
