MARQUETTE - Corrections officer Lance LaRock has been named the Marquette Branch Prison Corrections Officer of the Year. LaRock has worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections for 13 years, beginning his career at Marquette Branch Prison in 2000. He was selected by the Corrections Officer of the Year Committee as a result of his knowledge and implementation of policies and procedures resulting in increased safety and security for staff and prisoners. "Corrections officer LaRock is one of the most highly respected and motivated Officers at the facility," Warden Robert Napel said.
