DARLINGTON, SC - Deputy Jamie Lui with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, was named Officer of the Year by SCDPS today at a ceremony in Columbia. Deputy Lui received the award for her efforts DUI arrest, DUI victim services, and underage drinking programs in Darlington County. Deputy Lui worked under a grant position Darlington County received 3 years ago from the Department of Public Safety. "I am honored to receive this award on behalf of all the men and women at the Darlington County Sheriff's Office. Being a mother of one, and one on the way, life to me is precious. We must keep up the effort to bring down the number of alcohol related deaths" said Deputy Lui. Lui has been at the Darlington County Sheriff's Office for 2 years, but is a five year veteran of law enforcement. "Jamie is a great asset to this office.
