Jun. 17, 2013 - Jun. 20, 2013--Students participate in the Inmate Behavior Management course in teams of three. The jail administrator, the security staff manager, and the manager of the inmate classification system all work together to develop a plan that meets the needs of their own facility. Overview The fundamental goal of every jail is to maintain a safe and secure environment for inmates, staff, and visitors. Negative inmate behavior, such as assault on staff and other inmates, destruction of property, attempted escape, and refusal to comply with facility rules is the most significant challenge to achieving this goal.
