| DOC holds first volunteer fair |

The Colorado Department of Corrections announced its first Volunteer Conference in a press release Tuesday, offering the public opportunities to interact with offenders. Adrienne Jacboson, DOC public information officer, said the conference had been proposed and approved by former director Tom Clements before his passing. "This is a great way to honor his memory and bring public awareness to the programs and opportunities we have to learn about the DOC and get involved," Jacobson said. Of the 125 seats available for Saturday's conference, 77 attendants have been confirmed, Jacobson said. Potential volunteers are required to be at least 18 years old. Read More. |
