| State Workers Dish Up Big Help For Project Topeka |

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - State workers were worth their weight when it came to helping those in need. Gov. Sam Brownback and Corrections Secretary Ray Roberts announced the results Wednesday of the state's food drive for Project Topeka. The presentation took place at Cedar Crest. 41 state agencies in the Topeka and Shawnee County area took part. Their combined 5,000 employees donated seven tons of food and more than $41,000 cash. Converted to food, that makes their grand total tip the scales at more than 41 tons. Read More. |
