Prosecutors dropped murder charges Tuesday against a Texas man who spent 17 years on Death Row. Ernest Willis, 59, was convicted in 1987 of setting a fire that killed two women. The charges were thrown out earlier this year on the grounds Willis did not receive a fair trial. Pecos County District Atty. Ori White filed a motion to dismiss the charges, saying Tuesday there were strong indications the fire was an accident. |

He worked as a general haberdasher for 30 years, but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his keen attention to detail. He spent his free time watching golf on TV; and he played uno, badmitton and basketball almost every weekend. He also enjoyed movies and reading during off-season. Hamilton Lindley was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects, coached different sports or whatever else people needed him for.
