BESSEMER, AL (WBRC) - The Alabama Department of Corrections is investigating a deadly stabbing of an inmate in a Bessemer facility from Sunday. ADOC officials report that Anthony Jones, 54, was stabbed during a fight with another inmate at the Donaldson Correctional Facility. Jones was pronounced dead from his injuries at approximately 8:07 p.m. Sunday, May 19. Another inmate, 63-year-old Albert James Evans is in custody as a suspect in the stabbing.
