ACC, UHCL inmate students receive degrees |

Olusola Koleosho looked out over his fellow graduates during his Commencement address and talked about the benefits of earning a college degree. It can provide opportunities for a career and it can inspire students to pursue more education. Those benefits are especially important for Texas prisoners like Koleosho, who earned his Associate Degree from Alvin Community College while an inmate with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. On May 20, 23 inmates were honored with their Associates Degree from Alvin Community College after several years of remaining dedicated to their education despite difficult circumstances.
