NEBRASKA - The Scotts Bluff County Detention Center could soon house juvenile offenders coming in from Wyoming.

The proposal is still in the contracting stages but the move could bring in some needed revenue for the county.

Department of Corrections Director Ron Johns says there is room for the Wyoming juveniles in the county facilities here, and the number of detainees coming in from across the state wouldn't be high.

"They don't get a lot of younger people which they would age out at the age of 18. The reason for it is 'PREA' the Prison Rape Elimination Act the federal government passed which makes it so they can't house those kids," said Johns.
