Razor detects cell phones for DOC |

Mayo — Her name is Razor and she is a six-year-old female Belgian Malinois K-9 drug sniffing dog, who also has a special talent for sniffing out cellular phones. Razor is the first cell phone sniffing dog to be certified in the state of Florida and she has been on the job with the Florida Department of Corrections since 2008. Since then, another cell phone sniffing dog, a four-year-old male German Shepherd named Uno, came on board in 2009, which makes him about eight-years-old now. Razor’s trainer/handler is Mike Roberts of the Florida Department of Corrections, who has been working for the DOC for 18-1/2 years.
