The Oklahoma Attorney General's Office is offering a new mobile app that victims of crime can use to track inmates.

The Victim Information and Notification Everyday program is a free and anonymous service that allows Oklahomans to be notified about changes in the status of state jail and prison inmates.

The VINEmobile app allows victims of crime and the public to use smart phones or tablets to get notifications on an inmate's status, including a release date, information about escapes and whether an inmate is being taken to court or is on unsupervised custody.

The program is provided in county jails and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. VINE transfers data every 15 minutes from county jails and the Department of Corrections, and probation and parole data is processed each evening.
