Two injured in shooting at Colorado corrections department facility |

Two people were injured after a gunman walked into a Colorado halfway house in the early hours of Friday morning and started firing at employees and residents, authorities said. The suspect, Francis Pizzo, 46, is a former resident of the Arapahoe County Treatment Center in northeast Colorado who recently escaped from the facility, said Sheriff's Capt. Larry Etheridge. Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the facility just after 1:00 a.m. local time on Friday, the sheriff's office said in a statement. The two people wounded in the attack were transported to local hospitals, where they were being treated Friday for "not life-threatening" injuries, according to the statement.
