Illinois - Lori Williams continues to wage the battle to be a meaningful member of society. She’s gaining. She is the manager of a Decatur area book store, a major step up from previous restaurant work. “I love this job,” she said. “I’m a life-long learner, a history buff and current events reader.” Williams was a drug addict for nearly 30 years. She was sentenced to five years in prison for possession of crack cocaine, incarcerated in the Decatur Correctional Center. Read More. |
