Deputy honored for life-saving heroics

SOUTH CAROLINA - A Lexington County Sheriff deputy’s heroic efforts that saved an area woman and her two dogs from a house fire have earned him the Employee of the Quarter distinction.

Deputy Ryan Moseley received the award for the second quarter of 2013 earlier this month from Sheriff James R. Metts during a ceremony, after being selected by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Advisory Council.

On May 13, the 23-year-old Moseley saw flames on the front porch of a house on Windy Road in the Gilbert community.
