The program and all patient data is stored simultaneously on each facility workstation, the facility server and a regional server, making access immediate - even if the internal network (LAN) or Internet connection is lost.  Data can be available among multiple facilities via the regional server, making credible information accessible instantly.  Remote access allows the medical provider to view patient charts off-site in real time.  Reviewing treatment plans, documented visits, injury photos, lab results, etc. can all be accomplished remotely.

Additionally, QuickMed's MedPass(tm) is the ideal medication dispensing for institutional medicine.  MedPass tracks the medications and dosings that go to patients, as well as when and who should dispense them.  It even tracks whether the patient took the medication.  Because everything in MedPass is electronic, efficiency of this repetitive task is significantly improved. 

Patients can be located within MedPass by a variety of methods - by selecting the patient from a list of names, scanning a bar code on an ID card or wristband, or scanning the bar code on a pill bottle.  MedPass accepts institutionally generated bar codes in code 39, code 128, etc. or it can generate the bar codes using the HIBC standard.  Finally, when medication rounds are completed the data automatically resynchronizes with the server when the pen tablet PC moves within communication range of the server.  Proper dosing is assured because all transactions are scanned and computed for correctness. 

MedPass allows everything pertaining to medication dispensing and tracking in the correctional facility to be handled more efficiently with higher accuracy.
