Local parole office hosts job fair |

GEORGIA - With about an hour remaining, a line of job seekers — some with resumes in hand — waited to enter the Vision 21 building in Douglasville where they hoped to impress the employers who waited inside. Once inside, they eagerly walked up to tables where employees accepted their resumes, talked to them about employment opportunities and answered their questions. While this may sound like a typical job fair, what made this particular event unique is that its purpose was to attract a population of people who are used to being turned away for jobs. Read More. |
