FREEHOLD – More than two dozen new corrections officers, servin three New Jersey counties, celebrated their graduation Tuesday afternoon. The Monmouth County Police Academy graduated 28 corrections officers on Tuesday from the 27th Basic Course for County Corrections. The corrections officers completed a 14-week curriculum to prepare them for careers as corrections professionals. “It takes courage, commitment and compassion to have a career in law enforcement,” said Sheriff Shaun Golden, whose agency runs the Monmouth County Police Academy. “Those values will guide these corrections professionals, as they safeguard lives and property and preserve peace in a correctional environment.” Read More. |
