Two former Tehama County (Calif.) Jail employees are facing charges that they had consensual sexual activity with female inmates. Patrick Samuel Pattison, 27, entered a not-guilty plea to the two misdemeanor counts against him last Friday. Darrell Leroy Stroud, 54, has also pleaded not guilty. If convicted on the counts, Pattison and Stroud face a maximum sentence of two years in jail and a fine. The two former jailers were charged in September after a state Department of Justice investigation. According to the district attorney's office, Stroud -- a former sergeant -- is accused of having touched an inmate's breast on two separate occasions. It said both contacts were consensual. Pattison is a former correctional officer. He is accused of twice having sexual relations with an inmate. |
