LINCOLN, Neb. — An inmate receiving treatment at Bryan West Medical Center stabbed a Nebraska Department of Corrections (NDCS) officer at the hospital Thursday. The inmate, Robert Carter, 50, had been taken to the medical facility for undisclosed medical issues. During a trip to the restroom, the inmate stabbed the corrections officer with a metal butter knife. The officer suffered cuts to his neck and ear, WOWT.com reports. Read More. |
