~Attendees will get to tour the institution and get a better understanding of the facility and its operations.~ WHAT: This Community Partnership Meeting is intended to bring community leaders together, to give them a greater understanding of the prison system while providing them with an overview of the Apalachee Correctional Institution (CI) and its operations. Presenters will focus on Apalachee CI’s extensive efforts to prepare inmates educationally, socially and vocationally for re-entry into society. WHEN: October 3, 2013. The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. EST. The purpose of this event is to provide an overview of the facility and operations at the institution level. The event will begin with an informational presentation, a guided tour of the institution, and end with lunch. WHERE: Apalachee Correctional Institution Training Building 35 Apalachee Drive Sneads, FL 32460 WHO: Department of Corrections and local dignitaries to Volusia, Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, Lake, Marion and Seminole Counties.
