Latin Kings member sentenced to 15 years in federal prison |

Russell Kilfoil, one of three Greensboro Latin Kings who was convicted last year on federal racketeering charges, was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison. He will receive credit for the one year, ten months that he has already been in confinement. Kilfoil was one of 14 men named in a federal indictment last year alleging conspiracy to commit murder, arson and robbery. Among those charged was Kilfoil’s brother, gang leader Jorge Cornell. Seven of those indicted accepted plea deals, and the other seven were tried last year in U.S. District Court in Winston-Salem. Three of the men were acquitted, and one had his charges thrown out due to lack of evidence. Read More. |
