If you’re looking for work, you might be able to find it in Shafter. The city’s Community Correctional Facility will soon reopen to help relieve overcrowding at other prisons across the state. A new contract with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation allows the city of Shafter to open the facility as soon as November.
