'Why I volunteer to work with child sex offenders'

People are lost for words when Amy Fazackerley reveals that she volunteers with child sex offenders.

But her urge to help protect children has ended up with the 24-year-old landing a full-time job working in a local prison.

Amy, of Rochdale , graduated in forensic psychology in 2011, and applied for a voluntary position with the Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA).

The scheme helps male and female offenders whose social isolation motivated them to commit a crime.

“If I can help in anyway to prevent a child becoming a victim of a sex attack, that’s enough motivation for me,” said Amy.
