MT Department of Corrections takes CONweb mobile |

You can now use your cell phone to look up a person's name and learn whether or not that person is a convicted felon, thanks to improvements to the Montana Department of Correction's Correctional Offenders Network (CON) website. The department announced Monday that the site is now compatible with mobile devices and will now be updated throughout the day. Another big change is that convicted offenders who have gone three years without another offense will be removed from the database. However, violent and sexual offenders will remain indefinitely. Department director Mike Batista says that criminal history information will still be available to those who seek it: "Just because we're removing it for offenders that meet that criteria, does not mean that that information is not available to potential employers, landlords; it is [available] through the criminal history records."
