5 Sex offenders found to be in violation on Halloween night |

The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Department says on Halloween, law enforcement agents with the sheriff’s department and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, teamed up to check on the homes of 18 registered sex offenders. As a result of the checks, officers say they found five offenders in violation of their restrictions. They say some of the offenders had Halloween decorations, candy or other indications that they were participating in trick-or-treat activities.
