| Vt. correctional officer, inmate charged with smuggling marijuana into prison |

Vermont State Police say a corrections officer and an inmate and his girlfriend have been arrested on charges of smuggling drugs into the Windsor prison. Police say staff at the prison found a small amount of marijuana during a search of a cell block in August. Authorities say an investigation determined that a corrections officer was involved in smuggling in the drugs. Police say 23-year-old inmate Wesley Kidder of St. Johnsbury coordinated with his girlfriend, 23-year-old Trisha Belliveau, to have marijuana brought into the prison. Police say Belliveau passed the pot to 46-year-old Brett Jaskinski, a corrections officer, who brought it inside the prison to be given to Kidder. Read More. |
