| Public Hearing Held on Proposed Change to Good Time Law |

One of the hot topics coming up in the 2014 legislative session is Nebraska's Good Time law. The Department of Corrections talked about one specific proposed change to the current good time rules and regulations at a public hearing Thursday. The proposed change would double the current maximum amount of good time prisoners can lose if they violate a rule during their time served. Sue Jacob, a mother with two sons in prison, was the only person to come forward at the hearing and voice her opinion on the matter. "I think they ought to leave the Good Time law alone.
