| New director named at DOC |

The Colorado Department of Corrections will have a familiar face taking on the role of director of prisons. DOC Executive Director Rick Raemisch on Thursday appointed Steve Hager to the position. Hager has spent 23 years with the DOC, most recently as acting parole director, a role he will continue until a new director is hired. Hager began his career as a correctional officer at Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility in Ordway in 1990. He worked his way up through the ranks serving as an associate warden and warden.
