Remembering David Long: retired from state Department of Corrections

David W. "Dave" Long was retired as the food service manager for the state Department of Corrections.

Long, 69, of Marysville, died Nov. 16 at home.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving on the USS Enterprise. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Enola, the American Legion of Enola and a former member of the Mechanicsburg Club. Long enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Roseann (Campli) Long; two daughters, Michele A., wife of Craig McEwen, of Mechanicsburg, Andrea P. Gardner, of Enola and son-in-law, Bryan P. Gardner, of Dauphin; grandchildren, Hunter, Ryan, Breanna and Tyler; and his brothers and sisters, Clarence S. "Larry" Long Jr., his wife Pat, of Newville, Sandra, wife of Dick Amsler, of Newport, Donna, wife of Jim Baker, of Mount Joy and Christopher Long.
