A 54-year-old male inmate at the Milwaukee County Jail allegedly assaulted two corrections officers Monday, WITI-TV reports. John Meyers, who was facing a battery charge, was being taken from a cell to a court appearance when he reportedly charged at officers, punching one in the face. Another officer who responded to help subdue Meyers was taken to the hospital to be treated for a broken ankle. Meyers also was taken to a hospital for treatment of a cut and now faces charges of assault by a prisoner. Read More. |
