Volunteers let inmates at FCI Waseca know that their crimes do not define them |

The Federal Correctional Institute of Waseca (FCI) is home to nearly 1,000 female inmates and one volunteer group is working to give these women a new lease on life. "Whatever brought them to this place is not what defines their life," said Maret Ryan, vice president of the board of directors and liaison to FCI Waseca for Charis Prison Ministry. Charis is a non-denominational Christian ministry, which helps inmates with a range of convictions, backgrounds and beliefs understand that their crimes do not define their futures. Read More. |
