Delaware suspends inmate boot camp |

GEORGETOWN — A military discipline program for first offenders has been suspended after a correctional officer recently was charged with having sex with three female participants. The boot camp program at the Sussex Correctional Institution was put on hold after the Nov. 20 arraignment of Christopher S. Peck, said John Painter, a Department of Corrections spokesman. The 39-year-old Felton man is accused of having sex with a 19-year-old, a 27-year-old and a 28-year-old. Peck has resigned from his job since the charges were filed, Painter said. Corrections Commissioner Robert Coupe, who took charge of the department in March, has ordered a review of the effectiveness of the program, which is aimed at keeping first offenders from committing new crimes.
