IDAHO - Tucked away in a corner of Emmett is a business that employs 32 people. They work tirelessly to teach troubled teen boys things they may not have learned at home. Things like social skills, responsible living, communication skills, anger management and how to control inappropriate thoughts. The Patriot Center has great success statistics. Administrator Matt Johnson is proud of their zero relapse rate in 2012 in an industry where 30 percent is considered doing well. However, Johnson said it’s more than just staff dedication — he credits the Gem community as a key factor in the results.
