Fired DOC officers appeal: Two say alleged Taser incident never happened |

Two former Department of Corrections officers fired in connection with a Taser incident have appealed their case to the Civil Service Commission. "I did not taser any inmates, as stated in my final notice of adverse action," Matthew Gill said in his appeal. The department on Tuesday fired Gill and Michael Martinez, but both men said in CSC documents that the alleged incident never happened. Documents filed with the Commission also include complaints filed against the two officers. One of the inmates describes the Taser incident as "torture." Department Director Jose San Agustin announced the terminations Thursday. Jeff Limo, special assistant to the director and internal affairs investigator, said the two men were fired "based on their conduct on duty." Read More. |
