Inmate gets additional 16 months for battering corrections officers |

JUNEAU — A 33-year-old inmate at Waupun Correctional Institution was sentenced to 16 additional months in prison Friday after being convicted of injuring two corrections officers. David E. Bowers pleaded no contest to two counts of battery by prisoner. Judge John Storck ordered Bowers to serve an additional 16-month sentence, broken into one year of initial confinement and four months of extended supervision. The 16 months will be consecutive to the sentence Bowers is currently serving. Bowers has previous convictions of battery by prisoner. He is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence from a Milwaukee County conviction of first-degree sexual assault of a child in 2000. Read More. |
