| Inmate dies unexpectedly at Two Rivers Correctional Institution |

The Department of Corrections has reported the unexpected death of an inmate at the Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla. Inmate Shane Morris, 39, was found unconscious in his cell at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Staff immediately began CPR on Morris, who was transported via ambulance to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead at 6:43 p.m. Morris has been in custody since July 8, 2005 on three counts of sexual abuse and one count of sodomy out of Umatilla County.
