Two convicted sex offenders escaped from the Hilltop Youth Correctional Center on Sunday evening. Authorities were searching for Tyler Olsen, 18, and Robert Shepherd, 17. At 6 p.m., the two escaped from a residential child care facility, also called a group home, in Grand Junction, Colo. said Ron Richardson, regional director for the western region of the Colorado Division of Youth Corrections. Olsen was convicted of misdemeanor sexual contact-no consent, Richardson said. Shepherd has a conviction of felony sexual assault on a child, Richardson said. "We do have arrest warrants out for both of them, and law enforcement has been notified," Richardson said. |
