| Five prison guards hurt while restraining inmate |

ATTICA — Two sergeants and three corrections officers were injured Saturday evening at the Wyoming Correctional Facility while restraining an inmate, the state Department of Corrections reported. Officials said Deion Brown, an inmate serving 3 1/2 years for robbery, failed to obey a direct order from a corrections officer. Brown then lunged at a sergeant who was trying to resolve the dispute and began striking him, officials said. Read More. |
