| Inmates stabbed at Maryland Correctional Institution in Jessup |

As many as three inmates were stabbed in a general population housing unit at the Maryland Correctional Institution in Jessup Thursday night, according to the state Department of Corrections. Two inmates were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening stabbing injuries, and a third, found with a puncture wound, may also be taken to a hospital as a precaution, according to Mark Vernarelli, spokesman for the department.
