A correctional facility in Sussex County is shutting down following controversy. The Delaware Department of Corrections announced Wednesday that it is closing the Sussex Boot Camp, which has served as an alternative to prison for convicted Delawareans since 1997. The camp suspended operations in November of last year as the DOC conducted an internal review of the facility, after a drill instructor had sex with three female inmates. Read More. |
