Jackson prison tours will once again include Michigan's first state prison |

JACKSON, MI – After a one-year hiatus, Michigan’s first state prison will once again be included in the historic prison tours offered by Judy Gail Krasnow’s Jackson Journeys, LLC. Krasnow has received permission from Excel Realty Group in Ohio, owner of Armory Arts Village, 100 Armory Court, to bring tour groups back into the facility, which is the lone structure remaining from Michigan’s first state prison. The tours originally included Armory Arts Village, an apartment complex, when they began in 2009. However, liability concerns led to tours of the complex ceasing in 2013. Read More. |
